A Car Show in Motion!
Historic Festival 42 and Sunday in the Park
Labor Day Weekend
August 30 through September 2, 2024
The Historic Festival 42 offers everything a car enthusiast could want - the opportunity to see cars from every era, in both static displays and in motion!
Thrill to vintage racing on Friday, Saturday, and Monday, when beautiful machines take to the challenging 1.5 mile track and do what they do best - move fast!
On Sunday, walk the track as hundreds of cars will ring Lime Rock Park as part of the Gathering of the Marques and then learn which cars are winners during Sunday in the Park.
The weekend is a great time to enjoy time with like-minded friends and we love seeing old friends as well as cars we've worked on or just admire.
Dean is especially fond of the Historic Festival because of his own racing experiences on the track. He can appreciate the challenge that will face the drivers as they twist and turn, up and down without benefit of power steering and power brakes (in the majority of the cars). This is real racing, when state of the art technology had little to do with computers. Imagine that multiplied by a large field of competitors, ranging from pre-war open-wheel cars to the sports and formula cars of the postwar era.
Ford is the featured marque this year and this year’s honored collector is Ross Myers, who will be sharing his collection of Ford race cars.
There will also be a swap meet, automobilia, featured speakers, concessions, and so much more happening during the weekend.
